Dr. Peterson grew up in Utah County and graduated from BYU. He attended medical school on a Health Professions Army Scholarship, completed a transitional internship at William Beaumont Army Medical Center, and served 12 years as an Army medical officer and dermatologist, earning two Meritorious Service Medals, the Army Commendation Medal and two Army Achievement Medals. He sees patients across general, medical and pediatric dermatology, has a special interest in reading skin biopsies under the microscope, and enjoys teaching patients how to manage their own skin. He served a two-year mission to Taiwan and speaks Chinese.
