Built for Desert-Sun Skin
St. George’s sunny desert climate means a lot of sun exposure, which shows up as sun spots, precancers and skin cancers. Skin cancer checks and treatment are a core part of what our Red Ledges team does every week.
Why patients choose us

Our practice offers Image-Guided SRT for certain basal and squamous cell cancers — no cutting or stitches. Ask our St. George team whether it fits your diagnosis and where your treatment would take place.
Samples go to our own dermatopathology lab, led by Dr. Michael Peterson, board-certified in dermatology and dermatopathology.

Dry desert air and heat bring their own skin problems: dryness, heat rashes and eczema flares, along with acne, psoriasis, hair loss and warts. Our St. George providers diagnose the cause first and use biopsies or patch testing when a rash needs a clear answer.

St. George is sunny most of the year, and many residents have spent decades outdoors on the golf course, trails and water. We check, biopsy and remove skin cancers in the office, and offer Image-Guided SRT as a non-surgical option for certain basal and squamous cell cancers.
