Waiting months to see a dermatologist is common — and stressful when you have a spot that’s changing or a rash that’s getting worse. Our same-day dermatology appointments in Springville, UT mean you can often be seen the day you call.

Same-day visits are available at our Springville office and our other locations in Provo, Tooele and St. George. Call as early in the day as you can, and we will find the first opening that works for you.

When You Need a Same-Day Dermatology Visit

Call for a same-day appointment when a mole or spot is new, growing, bleeding or changing color; a rash is spreading quickly, blistering or painful; a cyst is swollen and tender; acne has suddenly flared with painful nodules; you have a skin reaction to a new medicine; or a wound or growth isn’t healing.

Some problems truly can’t wait. Quick changes in a mole are best checked promptly, and an infected cyst or a spreading rash can get worse fast. If you have trouble breathing, swelling of the face or lips, or a rapidly spreading red, hot area of skin with fever, go to an emergency room or call 911 instead.

Same-day visits are open to new and returning patients.

How Same-Day Appointments Work

Call your nearest office in the morning and tell the front desk what’s going on. We will look across our providers’ schedules for the first opening that day. If an in-person slot isn’t available or you can’t make the drive, a same-day telehealth video visit may be an option.

At your visit, a dermatology provider examines the concern and explains what they see. If a biopsy or quick procedure is needed — like draining a cyst or freezing a wart — it can often be done at the same visit. Biopsies are read in our own dermatopathology lab, and we contact you with the result.

To help us fit you in quickly, have your insurance card ready when you call, along with a short description of the concern and how long it has been going on. Take a photo of a changing spot if you can, so you can compare later. Bring a list of your current medicines to the visit. If you can’t take time off, ask about the earliest or latest openings across our four offices.

Same-Day Appointment Cost in Springville

A same-day appointment is billed the same way as any other dermatology visit, usually to your health insurance. Your cost depends on your plan and on any procedures done during the visit. Our front desk can help you check your coverage when you call.
